Enhancement request for "Appointments" view

I’m looking for a way to filter out appointments that have passed. I want to be able to choose a filter that ONLY shows me current OR upcoming appointments.
How about adding a checkbox like the “show canceled” box as a way to filter out past appointments (see screenshot).
It could say "Show Expired", "show past", "show current"...or anything. But it would give the user the option to view ALL appointments (past, present, and future), or just the current ones (since the list will get quite long eventually).
