Adding a new Facility: Sites, Buildings, Rooms, and more

In ShowMgr, it's easy to add and view facilities and venues. Facilities, an Element in ShowMgr, are spaces that can be occupied, such as a stage or an office, and can be assigned to an Order while Facility Types are categories of Facilities. This article walks through how to add a new Facility.

Adding a new Facility site

  1. From the main left-hand navigation menu, select Facilities > Facilities to see a list of sites that are already set up in your ShowMgr instance 
  2. Set the View button mceclip0.png to Tree to view the sites in an expandable list with any of the Facilities set up for each site
  3. To add a new site, click the Add Site button mceclip2.png and fill out all of the required and relevant optional fields. Make sure the information is easily identifiable by any user
  4. Click Submit to save

Adding a building, floor etc to an existing site

Once you have your site in the system, you can add specific buildings, floors, etc to that site. To add:

  1. From the facility administration page, click the hamburger button mceclip1.png next to the site/building/floor you want to add to
  2. Select +Add Building/Floor from the drop-down menu depending on your needs
  3. Fill out all of the required and relevant optional fields. Make sure the information is easily identifiable by any user
    • The field Type is used to designate what kind of room you are creating. This type will act as the generic Element for the room you create when you use it on the Scheduler
  4. Click Submit to save
